Greek supramax operator Polforce Shipping Co has completed its second fleet renewal move this year, amid a flurry of sale-and-purchase activity involving supramaxes sold to Greeks.
Polforce principal Eleftherios Polemis confirmed that his company had concluded the acquisition of a supramax. However, he declined to reveal its details, citing confidentiality agreements.
One candidate could be the 56,600-dwt Venus (built 2012), which Greek peer Super-Eco Bulkers Management is reported to have sold for more than $12.5m.
