Greek owner Spyros Polemis has won the race for a suezmax being sold off by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) in a deal that has been closely followed as a key price point for modern crude assets.
TradeWinds reported last week that the yard's sale of the 158,000-dwt RS Kaystros (built 2017) had attracted strong interest with Spanish owner Ondimar thought to have tabled the highest offer.
