The shipbuilder controlled by billionaire Eike Batista also announced it has reached a settlement with one of its largest creditors over payments after the company said it would reschedule construction of its yard near Rio de Janeiro.
Marcelo Luiz Maia Gomes will helm OSX after Carlos Eduardo Sardenberg Bellot left the company, said a statement issued today.
“This replacement reflects the change of emphasis in the Company´s management, following the first technical phase of implementing projects, with the prioritization of the financial discipline already initiated, asset optimization, dialogues with business partners and analysis of potential business combinations,” OSX said.
