Sale-and-purchasebrokers on both sides of the Atlantic are reporting that the 94,700-dwtOverseas Beryl(built 1994) has been sold for scrap.

According toCompass Maritime Services the ageing tanker fetched approximately $453 per ldt,which amounts to a payday of more than $7.7m.

In a weekly clientbriefing the US brokerage said the vessel was sold “as is” in Singapore and notedthe operator’s estate will likely receive an additional payment for fuel butadmitted the final destination of the ship isn’t known.
