Oslo-listed Odfjell is shelling out $180m for the 17,000-cbm LPG/ethyleneunits for delivery between October 2015 and May of the following year.
The deal comes with options for up to additional vessels, the Bergen-based ownersaid in a statement.
TradeWinds first broke the news in July that the company had openedtalks with a number of yards over a potential order.
Odfjell turned to Nantong because it is one of the fewChinese yards capable of meeting its quality standards, it said.
