The 39,500-dwt Bow Leopard(built 1998) is believed to be headed to a scrap facility in India after fetching $435 per ldt, according to cash buyer GMS.
It claims the $4.1m demolition deal included approximately 70 tons of stainless, which helped the owner secure a premium when compared to the current $410 per ldt average tied to the typical tanker that meets its maker on the shores of Alang.
