Newbuildings appear to be off the menu as Norden aims to boost its tanker fleet by almost 10 vessels in the next three years.
The Dane is also scouting for large dry-bulk cargo contracts as it prepares to welcome a host of newbuildings to its bulker fleet this year.
Norden wrote in Wednesday’s full-year results announcement, which showed a rise in net profit, that it was focussed on buying more “quality” tankers in an effort to become “more attractive” to oil majors.
