Malaysia’s MISC has confirmed it is releasing cash by selling and leasing back four tankers.
The company said the 96,000-dwt aframaxes Eagle Otome (built 1994) and Eagle Subaru (both built 1994) and the 318,000-dwt VLCCs Eagle Virginia and Eagle Vermont (both built 2002) have been sold to New York fund Icon Capital, as TradeWinds reported last week.
MISC’s tanker division AET will continue to operate the vessels on bareboat charters.
