Meyer Werft has entered the LNG shipbuilding arena with an order for a single vessel from a Dutch owner.
Anthony Veder has penned a contract for a 15,600-cbm unit at the German builder’s Baltic Sea yard.
No contract price was mentioned for the 156-metre-long ship in a joint statement issued by the owner and yard on Monday.
Delivery of the vessel, which will be able to operate on low-emission LNG fuel, is set for the end of 2012.
