KNOT Offshore said it can pursue a deal to buy another shuttle tanker from its sponsor after signing a $100m loan deal.
John Costain, chief executive of the New York-listed tanker owner, said that parent Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers (KNOT) is expected to offer it the opportunity to buy the 157,000-dwt shuttle tanker Vigdis Knutsen (built 2017).
The disclosure came as KNOT Offshore said it struck a deal with Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance to refinance a $75.6m
