A judge in New York has confirmed a bankruptcy plan for International Shipholding (ISH) that will see the core businesses of the diversified shipowner taken over by Seacor Holdings.
The approval by US Bankruptcy Judge Stuart Bernstein will also see the Erik Johnsen-led company sell its pure car and truck carrier fleet to Japan's NYK Line and operate them through bareboat charters.
