Tokei Kaiun of Japan is cutting its exposure to the boxship market as post-millennium built containerships continue to head for the scrap heap.
Sources say the owner has weighed in the 5,220-teu MOL Solution (built 2001).
A price of $285 per ldt is being placed on the deal, which means a $7m figure for the owner.
The ship was sold with 350 tons of bunkers on board providing sufficient fuel for a final voyage from Taiwan to India.
