International Seaways sold off a vintage aframax as the tanker owner readies to finance the purchase of six VLCCs from Gener8 Maritime.
International Seaways sold the 112,200-dwt Seaways Josefa Camejo (built 2001) for $9.5m, according to broker reports.
Muscat-based bunker supplier Oasis Energy has emerged as the buyer through a United Arab Emirates-registered subsidiary called ARC Shipping Marine.
International Seaways was unable to comment on the sale.
