Hornbeck Offshore Services of the US has revealed who will be building its $720m series of 16 offshore supply vessels (OSVs).
The order wil be split equally between VT Halter Marine of Mississippi and Eastern Shipbuilding Group of Florida.
A further 16 options are attached should market conditions warrant their building, the shipowner said.
It needs to decide on whether to go ahead with additional vessels by next September.
