Great Eastern of India is being linked with the purchase of a products tanker from New York-listed Navios Maritime Acquisition.
TradeWinds reported in this week’s print edition the 47,000-dwt Nave Lucida (built 2005) had been sold to a Far Eastern buyer.
Multiple shipbroking sources say Great Eastern has bought the vessel in an $18.7m deal.
Should the reports ring true the sale would appear to be good business for Navios.
