Global Marine Systems has purchased a Maersk Supply Service cable layer that brings the offshore support vessel owner's fleet to 26 shios.
The UK company said it has purchased the 6,000-cable-dwt Maersk Recorder (built 2000), which has been renamed CS Recorder.
The price tag for the deal was not revealed, and Global Marine could not be immediately reached after business hours at its Essex headquarters.
