Five Stars Shipping of India has been linked to the acquisition of a seven-year-old bulker.
The 179,000-dwt C Blossom (built 2009) has been purchased from Korea's Chang Myung Shipping, sources say.
A price of $18.9m is reported.
This is the first purchase for the Indian company since 2010 when it paid $24.5m for the 71,000-dwt bulker Pelagian (built 1995 renamed Prema One).
Five Stars is listed with a fleet of seven bulkers with an average of 14 years.
