Indian owner Essar Shipping has sold its last capesize bulker for scrap.
Demolition brokers in Europe said the 175,000-dwt Kiran (built 1994) has been sold for recycling in Pakistan for $434 per ldt or $10.5m.
The ship has been in the Essar fleet for 11 years.
Attempts to get confirmation of the vessel's sale from Essar Shipping proved unsuccessful as TradeWinds went to press.
