The 21,300-dwt Credo will be renamed Kallio after a districtof Helsinki and fly the Finnish flag when the acquisition is complete, the BalticSea operator said today.
ESL will pay EUR 13m ($17.6m) for the ship which it hastime-chartered and operated ever since it hit the water at Shanghai Edward in 2006.
Outright ownership of the vessel will add around EUR 1.5m peryear in operating profit, partly thanks to the lower cost of flying under theFinnish flag, ESL said.
