Hamburg shipowner Ernst Russ is lining up more ship acquisitions in what it sees as an attractive market environment.
The asset and investment manager added five container vessels to its fleet of 150 tankers, boxships and bulkers last year.
It said the market is "currently very attractive, with historically low asset prices and a positive supply and demand ratio."
The company added: "We successfully took advantage of this to acquire five containerships in the promising feeder class as in-house as well as co-investments."
