Greece’s Dileton Maritime has offloaded its second-oldest vessel for demolition.
According to several market sources in Athens, the 44,500-dwt Hydroussa (built 1996) was sold in Pakistan for about $440 per ldt, which would translate into a sale price of about $4.9m.
This leaves Piraeus-based Dileton with one actively trading bulker on the water: the 75,700-dwt Erikoussa (ex-Tianjin Pioneer, built 2005).
