New York-listed Diana will pocket $9.65m for the 4,729-teuSpinel (ex: APL Spinel, built 1996) which leaves it with nine vessels in thewater, it said today.
The containership was one of two purchased in a sale and leasebackdeal with Singapore’s Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) nearly two years ago.
Each ship cost Diana $30m in January 2012 and was charteredback to the seller for two-years at a rate of $24,750 per day.
