Tianjin Southwest scraps its first VLGC
Chinese tanker and LPG carrier owner Tianjin Southwest Maritime (TSM) is said to have sold a vintage VLGC as its newbuilding programme continues at domestic Jiangnan Shipyard.
Multiple shipbroking sources said the 78,000-cbm Gas Crystal (built 1991) was sold "as is" in Singapore and has been renamed Gas Stal.
The ship went for $418 per ldt, or $6.9m.
