Greek shipowners head to Posidonia with a world-leading fleet worth $105bn, according to Clarksons Research.
The figure comes with Hellenic owners having expanded their share of the global fleet from 13% in the year Lehman Brothers fell to a 17% slice today, according to data from the world’s largest shipbroker.
Steve Gordon, managing director of Clarksons Research, said :”Ten years on from the financial crisis, and despite domestic economic woes and much shipping market stress, Greek shipping continues to dominate the league table of owning nations.”
