Singapore’s Berge Bulk and Brazilian mining giant Vale are both reported to have each sold a capesize bulker for demolition.
Bangladeshi breakers are said to have taken the 172,000-dwt Berge Atlantic (built 1998) for $339 per ldt, according to cash buyers GMS.
The same country is also said to be the final destination for Vale’s 251,200 Ore Brutucu (built 1986) for $338 per ldt.
