Chinese bulker owner and operator Beibu Gulf Shipping (BG Shipping) is making a huge profit from the sale of a modern kamsarmax bulker that the company purchased two years ago.
US brokers said the Tsuneishi Zhoushan-built, 82,000-dwt BBG Ambition (built 2009) was sold to a Greek buyer for $19m.
The Chinese owner had purchased the vessel from Japan’s Kambara Kisen in March 2016 as the FD Isabella for $9.2m.
