Singapore-based containership owner Asiatic Lloyd has reportedly purchased a boxship that Greek shipowner Dioryx Maritime was said to be selling a couple of weeks ago.
European shipbrokers said the company paid an undisclosed sum for the 4,334-teu containership Corinthiakos (built 2010), which in May was suggested to be going for a very firm $15m.
TradeWinds attempted to contact both Asiatic Lloyd and Dioryx for confirmation of the deal but senior managers were unavailable for comment.
