In a conference call the company’s president, Nikolas Tavlarios, said further sales of “non-core vessels” will aid efforts to increase utilisation and reduce maintenance costs.
"We expect that rationalizing our expenses by selling older noncore vessels will remain a key part of our operating strategy for the foreseeable future,” the executive continued.
While Tavlarios didn’t mention which vessels Aegean is looking to offload in the coming quarters he did note the company still intends to sell a floating storage unit stationed in Fujairah.
