AmericanCruise Lines of the US says it has firmed up a contract to construct fourriverboats at Chesapeake Shipbuilding of Salisbury, Maryland.
In astatement the Guilford, Connecticut-based operator said the units will becapable of carrying between 150 and 200 guests upon delivery, which is duebetween 2015 and 2017.
The companynoted one of the vessels will be specially built for cruising in the PacificNorthwest in the Columbia and Snake rivers, which provide an inland link from thenation’s coast to the border of Idaho.
