Today, a Diana spokesman told TradeWinds thatthese reports were “totally false” but acknowledged his company is still on thelookout for acquisition candidates.

“We had absolutely no interest in thisparticular vessel whatsoever,” he said. “We actively examine vessels all thetime but in this case, we never even inspected it.”

As we have reported, the Athens-basedoperator of 40 bulkers has been outspoken about an expansion strategy by whichit selectively acquires one or two assets at a time.
