Seaspire Maritime, a Greek company that has been below the radar since it was established in 2014, has emerged as the buyer of four handysizes that are co-managed by peer Tide Line.
Seaspire confirmed the purchase of the 33,400-dwt Atlantic Treasure (built 2008), a Japanese-built handysize that changed hands for about $10.4m in November last year. The ship formally joined its fleet in January and is now trading as Aegean Spire.
