A dock worker was killed today in an accident at a Port of Los Angeles container terminal, port officials said.
The incident, which also resulted in serious injury to another worker, took place at 7:25 a.m at Fenix Marine Services container terminal at Pier 300.
The accident involved a top loader container handler, according to initial reports.
The injured worker was taken to Harbor UCLA Medical Center.
