A handysize bulker that suffered a fire in one of its cargo holds off the UK earlier this week is to be berthed in the Port of Liverpool.
The decision to move the 37,900-dwt V Due (built 2015) has been taken by the UK Secretary of State’s Representative (SOSREP) Maritime & Salvage Hugh Shaw.
SMIT Salvage continues to support the master and crew of the ship in stabilising the situation and preparing for the passage from her current position off Anglesey to Liverpool.
