The US Coast Guard has suspended a search for a master who fell from a crewboat while trying to board an MUR Shipping bulker.
Capt Amarish Parekh, 65, fell into the Mississippi River near Donaldsonville, Louisiana, Monday.
He was attempting to board 61,300-dwt African Raptor (built 2015) when he fell.
Parekh was wearing a personal flotation device when he fell.
A Coast Guard spokesman said the incident is under investigation.
