Three seafarers have been killed by toxic gas on a Caronte & Tourist ro-pax in Italy.
Another crewman is in a critical condition after the incident on Tuesday on the 11,000-gt Sansovino (built 1989) in the port of Messina.
Local media said a tank was being cleaned by five men at the time.
An investigation has begun into the accident.
