A 69,000-dwt OSG tanker has been safely towed back to San Francisco after losing power.
The Overseas Cleliamar (built 1993) had a pilot aboard and was accompanied by an escort tug when the power failed just outside the Golden Gate. The vessel successfully deployed its anchor and a tug secured a line to the vessel.
There were no injuries and no damage to the vessel or environmental impact, OSG said.
