Svitzer has confirmed to TradeWinds that its 63 UK-registered towage vessels will continue to fly the red ensign .
“Svitzer has currently no plans of reflagging any vessels from the UK Ship Registry,” Kasper Friis Nilaus, managing director of Svitzer Europe, told TradeWinds on Tuesday.
The UK-registered Svitzer fleet comprises 63 tugs ranging from 2,414 hp to 7,800 hp, according to Clarksons.
