The sunken wellboat Seikongen has been moved upright off Chile.
Salvor Ardent has completed the first stage of the operation to refloat the vessel, the Cooperativa daily said.
More than 100 personnel and three tugs were involved.
The ship still contains 1,000 cbm of rotting salmon.
The Chilean navy said the salvage may be completed in another 20 days, with the hull's integrity due to be checked.
