A Spliethoff Group heavy lift ship was detained for up to nine days in the UK in December after failing a port state control (PSC) inspection.
Twelve deficiencies were found aboard BigLift Shipping’s 8,734-dwt Tracer (built 1999) by Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) inspectors.
These included an ISM infringement which prompted the detention of the Netherlands-flagged vessel.
