Several agencies involved in cleanup effortsbelieve the sheen was caused by bunker fuel and lubricants that leaked from the16,750-cbm LPG carrier Golden Miller(ex-Fezzano, built 1993).
Accordingto the Docks Company of the State of Bahia (CODEBA) there are 14 vessels and 64technicians involved in the operation, which will likely take two or threedays.
In astatement the port operator said the list of local contractors that were called tothe scene includes the likes of Hidroclean, Gaia Ambiental, Cetrel and ERM.
