A showdown between Gulf Fleet Management and Solvang may heat up a court room in Texas this summer as the shipowners face-off following an unpaid salvage claim, according to documents filed at a federal court in Houston.
Louisiana-based Gulf Fleet and its shipowning subsidiary, Hercules Marine, told a judge that they are owed a salvage award after assisting an LPG carrier that lost propulsion while sailing in the US Gulf.
