A Zodiac boxship and a Tanker Pacific aframax are said to have been involved in a low-level piracy incident off Somalia on Thursday.
However, rumours of a security guard being shot dead onboard the tanker appear wide of the mark.
The two alerts are said to have occurred in the strategic Bab el-Mandeb on Thursday afternoon and involved a large number of pirate skiffs.
