South Korean navy commandos have stormed a chemical tanker which was hijacked by pirates in the Arabian Sea.
All 21 members of the crew of the 19,000-dwt chemical carrier Samho Jewelry (built 2001) were rescued, said Col Lee Bung-woo, of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Col Lee said the captain of the ship had suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach, the Yonhap news agency reported, but his condition was not life-threatening.
