A Thorco Shipping cargoship that grounded on a remote Pacific reef has been towed into Papeete, French Polynesia.
The 16,900-dwt Thorco Lineage (built 2014) got stuck on Raroia on 24 June.
It has now reached the Polynesian port, where a US tug will arrive to tow it to Australia for repairs, La Depeche website reported.
"We have been able to avoid the spill of cargo and fuel from this ship into the ocean.
