The National Transportation Safety Board has pointed the finger at the pilot on a Marmaras Navigation bulker and a tug captain in the investigation of a casualty last year.
The NTSB report came nearly a year after the 92,500-dwt bulker Aris T (built 2007) collided with the tug Pedernales and barge in the Lower Mississippi River and then struck two shore facilities, causing an estimated $60m in damage and injuring two dockworkers.
