A crewman was rescued from an Augustea Group bulk carrier off Canada on Wednesday after being injured in a nine-metre fall onboard.
Canadian coastguards rushed to the 76,000-dwt Pan Uno (built 2001) off the coast of British Columbia falling a distress call on Tuesday.
The 38-year-old Filipino seafarer had broken both wrists and suffered internal injuries in the fall but the ship, which was 200 miles from Cape Scott, was too far to be reached by rescue helicopter.
