The New York Police Department (NYPD) has been involved in the medevac of an injured crewman just off New York.
It’s air sea rescue division was called on to use its helicopter to airlift the crewman from d’Amico’s 46,975-dwt MR tanker High Courage (built 2005).
NYPD said a medic was deployed from the helicopter to stabilize the man before he could be flown to a nearby hospital.
