A Navibulgar chemical tanker hijacked by Somali pirates four months ago has been released on Thursday, the owner told TradeWinds.
The ransom amount paid to release the 5,848-dwt Panega (built 1986) remains unknown, however.
Management at the vessel's Varna-based owner were not available for comment but a source in Navibulgar confirmed the release. A statement from counter piracy force EU NAVFOR later also confirmed the release.
