The Sewerage & Water Board of NewOrleans (SWB) has accused the New York-listed tanker owner of failing to payfor repairs to a walkway and water intake dolphins that were damaged by the 151,700-dwtAsian Spirit(built 2004) on 8 February 2012.
In a complaint filed in the US DistrictCourt for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the agency argued that the individualson board the suezmax were incompetent and “failed to take any action” to avoida collision “when the danger of a collision was apparent”.
