A blaze which broke out onboard an AP Moller-Maersk boxship off South Africa on Wednesday night has been contained.
An inspection is currently ongoing to determine the extent of damage to the 4,500-dwt Safmarine Nomazwe from the fire off Cape Town.
Smoke was first reported to be emitting from a single container onboard the 2004-built ship at around 22:00 local time on Wednesday as it lay at anchor off Cape Town, a spokesperson at the port told TradeWinds.
